Bethel River Farm started because we wanted food for our family that was healthy and ethical — and we wanted to build something as a family that could bless our friends and neighbors too.
We began with 15 hens that our kids named and raised, even bringing them into the house when it got really cold outside. As people found out how we raised our flock — all natural, organic, out on pasture every single day — we kept growing.
A couple of years ago we started breeding our own hens, and that's when the flock really took off. Our kids still name their favorite chickens, and we still find hens in the kids' rooms from time to time.
Today, over 3,000 hens live in mobile coops on our regenerative pastures in Parker County, and every egg is hand-gathered and packed right here on the farm.
Every layer in our flock hatched and grew up right here. We know our birds from their first day under the heat lamp to their first morning on pasture — no mystery pullets from a factory, ever.
Three thousand hens doing what hens do. This is why membership exists — so all of this goodness lands on porches across Parker and Tarrant County while it's still days-fresh.
